The final project for my Production Prepress class. It’s supposed to be some kind of self-promotional package that I would send to prospective employers. It contains a business card, a portfolio booklet, and and illustrated book all inside of a custom box. We had to design it for an industry that we want to work in. I’d like to go into some sort of publishing company, so I illustrated the story of Rapunzel and made it into a book. I originally thought of doing the Little Mermaid or the Fisherman and His Wife (hence the scale pattern) but those stories ended up being to lengthy.

This project sounded fun at first but turned into a nightmare and I need to vent about it. But in a different post.

For our web design final we had to redesign the Earth Hour website. The original website had way too much information and it wasn’t totally clear about what Earth Hour actually is. So I took everything, simplified it, condensed it into 5 pages, and made it prettier.

(Also, pretend the countdown timer actually works.)

A type specimen book for Perpetua. The typeface was named after a 3rd century Christian martyr, so I tried to make the book look like an old illuminated manuscript.

Look at that infographic. Bitches love infographics.

An 8 page brochure for my made-up coffee shop. Most of the text is copied from other coffee shop brochures, but I made up all the “House Specials.”  I also made that infographic and I’m pretty damn proud of it. Especially considering I finished it at, like, 4 in the morning the night before it was due.

Woop woop finals are finally over

Now I have time to post all the junk I’ve been working on this semester. This blog has been pretty static for the past few weeks and I thank you, O loyal followers, for sticking with me.

For this project we had to take a restaurant with a terrible website and redesign it. I chose this Italian place back home which has super awesome food, but a pretty ugly website. I mean look at this. The majority of the photos I used were pulled from other websites but they look pretty close to the food that’s actually served there. The layout gets kind of derpy if the window is too small, but other than that I’m pretty happy with it.

A two color, tri-fold brochure with die cut for my Production Prepress class. We had to make one for a non-profit health organization, so I chose Leader Dogs for the Blind because it’s probably the cutest one haha.
